The fastest SD card for the Canon 6D is the SanDisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s UHS-I. Both the 64GB and 32GB cards tested provided the top write speed and greatest number of shots in 30 seconds. The Extreme Pro is capable of over 90MB/s write speed, but the 6D does not reach anywhere near the write speed potential of this card.

Canon Camera Connect does not list support for raw Canon .CR2 files. This is probably due to the much larger size of raw files versus compressed JPEG files. Some Canon cameras, including the EOS 6D, have the ability to do some raw processing in camera using the camera's LCD screen. The Canon EOS 6D was used with Wi-Fi and Live view which drained the battery noticeably. Speed - We took a number of shots to test the camera's responsiveness, from switch on to first photo, shot

Does 6D have Wi-Fi? The Canon 6D is a popular camera option for being the company’s first affordable full-frame DSLR that also has built-in Wifi. However, the Wifi is not very intuitive to set up the first time you use it. Does Canon 6D have Bluetooth? The Canon EOS 6D comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled features.

The best thing about this option is it’s free; if your camera has Wi-Fi and you have a smartphone, you’re good to go. Does the Canon 5DS have WIFI? With the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1* installed, the EOS 5DS and 5DS R cameras can connect wirelessly to a PC at distances of up to 32.8 feet. It supports Wi-Fi Standards from IEEE 802.11b–802.11n (20
On the 6d though, you can wifi to your laptop and run EOS Utility and use that for a timer release. See this quick guide to use EOS Utility. If you don't have a wifi router avail, you can make an ad-hoc network to your laptop and have the 6d connect to it. The 6d DOES take longer to connect to an ad-hoc network than a router though.
Canon's EOS 6D was the company's first DSLR to provide built-in Wi-Fi; we take a look at the possibilities it presents to the photographer. Press the Setup button (A). Use the or button (B) to select Wi-Fi setup and press the OK button. Select Manual connect and press the OK button. Select your wireless router and press the OK button. Press the OK button. Enter the password. Text entry is case-sensitive. Since this discussion, when I read the "Wi-Fi Function Instruction Manual", it starts to become a little more clear. I found this little gem on p.18 which seems to explain it all: When you connect the camera to a Bluetooth-compatible smartphone via Bluetooth, you can establish a Wi-Fi connection by operating only the camera or the smartphone.

I downloaded the most recent version of EOS Utility 3. I enabled wifi and chose the wifi function for remote control. I cannected to the same wifi network on both my Macbook Air (Mojave 10.14.6) and my EOS 6D. I use auto setting and start to pair device and have EOS utility open. My camera screen shows " EOS-****** pairing in progress.

One feature of the Canon EOS 6D that can be easily overlooked on the spec sheet, but pays practical dividends in real-world use is its Wi-Fi capability. The EOS 6D is the first DSLR to provide this connectivity as a built-in feature, without the need for additional external accessories.
You have the option between “touch to focus” and “touch to capture”. The latter will not only focus but go ahead the take the picture, and I often use this while shooting on a tripod. Canon’s touch screens are excellent; highly responsive, accurate, and quick. The button placement is near identical to the original 6D.

One of the design goals of the 6D was to make a more compact full frame camera. The pentaprism in a full frame camera needs to be bigger than in a crop camera, so addiing a flash on top of that would have made the camera even larger. I applaud Canon's decision.
It would appear that Canon have withdrawn support for this device and the 1DX MKI. I have tried and old Ipad but it will not download the latest software because of it's IOS version, I have tried a new Ipad and it downloads the latest software but that does not support the 1DX, I have tried with my phone and that does not support the 1DX either.
